Capturing the Culture
Living in Portland Oregon I always dreamed of living in a place renown for its car culture, Tokyo, Los Angeles, Monaco, etc, but what I didn't know at the time, was the incredible car scene that Portland was developing under the radar, from weekly cars and coffee events to the occasional Porsche or Ferrari dealer hosted meet, even the random group of super car owners who threw together a whopping show in a parking lot. It has been eye opening and genuinely a pleasure to take part in this culture, to share my passion for cars with others, and most importantly, photograph some truly spectacular vehicles.
My Porsche Obsession
Something about the timeless design, instantly recognizable silhouette, and the signature details makes any Porsche photo a good one. The culture behind Porsches, both air-cooled and water-cooled is so steady and passionate. When I go to a meet or a show, the largest crowds are usually grouped around a 911. When it comes to photographing Porsches, there is no bad angle, no bad side, all the details and shapes and lines make any composition a keeper. Hence it is my favorite car brand, and it is a someday oneway dream to own one of my own.
PHOTOGRAPHING my PASSION
For me, there is nothing better than blending two of my favorite things, photography and cameras, and automotive excellence. When I see a car, taking pictures is a non-negotiable, something about the way the camera captures the lines, details, and colors of cars is something that I really appreciate. Every opportunity I get to be in the presence of automobiles while holding a camera, I take.
