From sleek, angular fighter jets, to fat sluggish commercial aircraft, along with nimble aerobatic prop planes, and even helicopters that perform loops, I've seen and photographed it all. ON THE GROUND

You don't realize the size of this aircraft until you are standing 20 feet away from it taxing. The shape is angular, and sharp looking, but its speed and power is obvious just based on the stance and aggressive lines. As it turned the corner on the taxiway I felt the blistering hot and powerful jet wash coming off the Pratt & Whitney F135 afterburning turbofan engine.
IN THE SKY

On the ground it looked fast, in the sky, it is fast.
The F-35 has a top speed of Mach 1.6 or 1,200 MPH and the maneuverability as demonstrated in the 2026 McMinnville Air Show was top tier.
